We are a community run nonprofit charity preschool which was established in 1976. Kingsclere Preschool is a friendly setting based in the picturesque village of Kingsclere. We are currently a pack away preschool as we hire our hall from the Scouts. Our location provides a large enclosed outdoor space, access to a local park and short walks to local amenities such as the library and shops.

From 1976 to 2023, we operated as Busy Bees Pre-School, Kingsclere and we have now become Kingsclere Preschool.

Kingsclere Preschool is open Monday to Friday, during school term time only. Morning session times are 9.00-11:30am. Afternoon sessions are from 12:30-3:00pm. There is an optional Lunch Club from 11:30am-12:30pm and the option for your child to start at 08:30am. All day sessions can be from 08:30/09:00a-3:00pm.

If your child is eligible for the Early Years Grant, they are entitled to either 15 or 30 hours per week. Fee paying 3-year-olds are charged at a rate of £6.50 per hour; this is subject to availability. 2-year-old children, who do not qualify for the 2-year offer, will be charged £6.75 per hour. In order to supplement our income, to manage ever increasing expenses, and to have parity with other early years provisions, we have introduced a ‘Consumable Charge’ for all children. This charge equals to £1.15 for each session your child attends and will be invoiced at the beginning of each term.
